PersonalProtectiveEquipment (PPE) describes the specialized clothing to minimize the spread of infectious diseases. This includes gloves, masks ( at least N95 or FFP2), goggles, splash proof apron, head covers and foot covers. Transmission of disease may be reduced if the patient wears a surgical mask while another person is in the room.
